WASM – Temperatures are expected to rise significantly during the influence of the intense heat wave affecting Jordan, with temperatures in the capital Amman exceeding 41 degrees Celsius, accompanied by the formation of medium and high clouds that may be interspersed with limited thunderstorms and rainfall during the evening periods while the heat wave is active.

WASM has issued an orange alert level for the intense heat wave and has issued several recommendations for the intense heat wave, which include drinking plenty of fluids, avoiding direct sunlight, operating air conditioning units at temperatures of 23-24 degrees Celsius only to avoid high electricity consumption and to ensure they work at high efficiency, closing doors and windows during the day to prevent hot air from entering, and it is recommended to wear medical masks for those suffering from allergies due to the expected increase in air pollution levels in the atmosphere.
