Label - The Kingdom continues to be affected by sharp and unseasonable weather and thermal fluctuations, which cause sharp variations in temperatures and rainfall in some areas as a result of the continued surge of cold air masses from central Europe towards the eastern Mediterranean.
In detail, cold spring weather conditions continue generally in the mountainous areas tomorrow, Sunday, especially during morning and night periods, with temperatures well below their seasonal averages and clouds appearing at different altitudes.
Temperatures will rise on Monday and Tuesday and conditions will become more summer-like, reaching around 32 degrees Celsius in the capital and mountains, but this rise will be temporary and is due to the approach of a slightly cold air mass to the eastern Mediterranean region.
A "sharp and significant" fluctuation in temperatures is expected at the end of the week, with temperatures dropping significantly and noticeably, and cool, slightly damp spring conditions returning generally, especially in mountainous areas.
Temperatures will range between 23-25 degrees Celsius in the capital and mountains at the beginning of the week, then rise to around 32-33 degrees Celsius mid-week, then drop again to 22-24 degrees Celsius at the end of the week, while minimum temperatures reach around 12 degrees Celsius on some nights at the beginning and end of the week.
Due to these sharp and unseasonable thermal fluctuations, the label recommends being alert to weather conditions and wearing warm spring clothing, especially during temperature fluctuations, to avoid sudden colds and seasonal illnesses, particularly in children and the elderly.
Sharp and rainy weather fluctuations at the end of the month..
The label regional center is monitoring sharp and rainy weather fluctuations at the end of the month in an unseasonable and rare manner affecting most of the Middle East, Arabian Peninsula, eastern Mediterranean region, Jordan, and the Levant, resulting from a high-humidity wave surging from the Arabian Sea region coinciding with the approach of an unusually colder and more humid air mass with severely fluctuating temperatures.
The label regional center continues to monitor these weather fluctuations closely, as the length and strength of the current season is attributed to exceptional atmospheric circulation, which has caused heavy rainfall rates in Jordan and the Middle East region, with this repeating in recent years as a result of "sharp" climate changes that have begun to affect the Kingdom and the Middle East region.
Out of 9 previous rainy seasons, the Kingdom was affected by 7 strong rainy seasons with a significant increase in rainfall rates exceeding 50% in many areas, and contrary to what is circulated in local Jordanian media outlets that suffer greatly from misunderstanding climate changes and weather conditions in the Kingdom.
The label will continue to monitor these weather conditions and issue updates continuously and launch alert levels at appropriate times.
