WASM – Thunderstorm clouds are expected to increase from the afternoon and evening of Sunday over the northern, central, and eastern regions of Jordan as a result of expected unstable weather conditions, which will result in scattered thunderstorm rain showers with heavy precipitation in limited areas. WASM has issued a yellow alert level for the expected weather conditions.
Eastern winds are expected to intensify, especially during thunderstorm activity during Sunday evening hours and the night of Sunday/Monday, coinciding with rainfall showers.
Weather is expected to stabilize on Monday with decreasing clouds while remaining generally cold and warm during midday and afternoon hours. Stable weather is expected to continue until the end of the week.
WASM is monitoring the return of cold and rainy weather conditions starting mid-November due to the expected return of weather depressions to the eastern Mediterranean region.
The reason for tomorrow's Sunday weather conditions is due to the collision of a warm air mass pushing from the south and a cold one coming from the north from Siberian regions, which leads to the formation of thunderstorm clouds over northern Saudi Arabia, southern Iraq, and east, north, and central Jordan extending to northern Palestine, Lebanon, southern and central Syria, and extending to northern Egypt.
