WASM- The Kingdom will be affected by weather fluctuations on Thursday and Friday, resulting in significant temperature variations between the rise on Thursday and Friday daytime followed by noticeable and significant drops on Friday evening coinciding with active winds and dust storms, especially in desert areas.
In detail, temperatures will rise tomorrow, Wednesday, and return to their spring seasonal averages following cold and semi-winter days that affected the Kingdom in an unusual manner compared to this time of year.
The Kingdom will be affected by a low-pressure system coming from northern Egypt that has some khamsin characteristics on Thursday and Friday, deepening around the west of Cyprus, which causes significant temperature variations and active winds and dust storms in some areas, especially the desert regions of the Kingdom.
Maximum temperatures will rise to around 30 degrees Celsius in the capital and mountains, becoming higher than their averages by about 3-4 degrees Celsius on Thursday and Friday daytime, but this coincides with active winds during daytime hours and the presence of clouds and uncomfortable weather conditions due to a sharp drop in humidity levels.
Friday's weather will be unstable and unsettled coinciding with active winds and significant temperature variations, so we do not recommend outdoor trips, especially for people with respiratory diseases and allergies. The weather will be dusty at times, especially in desert areas, and with Friday evening hours temperatures will drop and the weather will improve with scattered rain showers in various areas of the Kingdom.
The weather during the beginning of next week will be generally cold and unseasonable, especially in the capital and mountainous areas with scattered rain showers expected.
WSAM advises paying attention to sharp weather fluctuations during the weekend and following warnings issued by the Jordanian Meteorology Department, especially rapid and sudden temperature changes which increase the chances of seasonal diseases.
Weather fluctuations are expected to continue intermittently until the first half of June in an unusual manner due to the exceptional circulation of the atmosphere.
