Jordan | An unusual extended moderate weather wave expected to begin next week, atypical for the season

WASM-  WASM Moderate summer waves are succeeding towards the Kingdom in an unusual seasonal manner and compared to this time, and as a result of a rare atmospheric circulation that has caused hot waves to be pushed and concentrated towards the European continent for long periods.

It is expected that the weather this week will be typical summer weather with seasonal temperatures to slightly below their averages, with moderate weather in the mountains most of the time and leaning towards coldness during late night hours and early morning, while the atmosphere remains hot less than usual in low-lying areas, valleys, Aqaba, and the Dead Sea.

A temporary and slight rise in temperature before the moderate wave impact|
Temperature rises slightly before the impact of the moderate summer wave especially during the daytime of Thursday, then decreases clearly and gradually later from the end of this week with the beginning of the impact of the moderate summer wave, which is expected to continue for a week to 10 days at least, and this is considered "rare seasonally" at this time when temperatures reach extreme averages.

This may affect many summer agricultural crops that need hot conditions to ripen, which may delay some agricultural crops, but it has a positive impact on electricity and water consumption during the coming period.

Will there be hot waves this summer?
The continuation of moderate summer waves affecting the Kingdom does not mean a complete absence of hot waves from the Kingdom, and according to the climate model data of the WASM Regional Center, there are signs of possible hot periods during the third week of August and the latest update excludes the development of these hot periods into a heat wave, and WASM will issue all updates continuously on any changes that may occur to weather conditions.
