Jordan..August Monthly Report..Moderate conditions in the first half of the month with rising temperatures at the end

August is expected to be more moderate compared to July, with lower temperatures in the first half of the month, but the pace of hot weather will increase towards the end of the month.

Temperatures will be below average between August 8 and 14, and will gradually increase afterwards, becoming elevated between August 19-22 and significantly higher between August 27-29.

A strong atmospheric high pressure system dominates the European continent, bringing hot weather to those areas and pushing moderate air masses towards Jordan, the eastern Mediterranean, and Egypt in the first half of the month. In the second half of the month, atmospheric pressure drops in central Europe, which helps to raise temperatures in Jordan and the eastern Mediterranean region.

The climate model developed within the WASM Regional Center is based on climate data and the study of similar years and periods and the impact of this data on the behavior, path, and circulation of the atmosphere. It provides the most accurate results in the Arab region and this climate model remains under development.
