Jordan | Clear temperature drop over the weekend and slightly cold nights in the mountainous regions

WASM – Temperatures will drop noticeably starting Friday evening, and as a result of renewed moderate-temperature winds moving toward the Kingdom and the eastern Mediterranean, their effects will continue until mid-next week. Temperatures are expected to range between the mid-to-late twenties Celsius in the capital and mountains during the day, and below 18 Celsius at night.

Temperatures drop below seasonal averages..
Temperatures will quickly fall below their seasonal averages after rising slightly on Wednesday and Thursday, and this is expected to continue until at least next Tuesday. Temperatures will remain elevated in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, Aqaba, and low-lying and desert areas, but less than usual for the season.

The Kingdom, the eastern Mediterranean region, and northern Saudi Arabia have been under the influence of moderate-temperature summer winds for a long time. WASM Regional Center explained this during an extensive press conference with Saudi newspaper Sabq due to continuous heat waves over the European continent, which has caused a continuous push of moderate-temperature northwest winds toward the region, and also resulted in a strong flow of seasonal winds toward southwest Saudi Arabia and increased rainfall rates.

Slight temperature rise at the end of next week..
Temperatures will rise "slightly" at the end of next week to return to their usual summer seasonal averages, with temperatures in the capital and mountains ranging between the late twenties and early thirties Celsius, then temperatures will resume declining after mid-month for several more days.

Monitoring a "warm" period during the end of the third week and beginning of the fourth week of the month..
Contrary to seasonal norms and against the famous popular saying "August the scorcher," it appears that August is not expected to be scorching this summer, due to the strength of the moderate northwest winds affecting the region because of successive strong heat waves over the European continent.

Therefore, temperatures are expected to rise "slightly" and exceed their seasonal averages marginally, and for the first time in more than a month, during the end of the third week and beginning of the fourth week of the month, and for a short period, before temperatures resume their noticeable decline during the remainder of the last week of the month and its final days, with an expectation of a complete absence of heat waves or significant warm periods.
