It is expected that temperatures will record their seasonal rates from Sunday until Tuesday with expectations of continued pleasant conditions at night in the capital and mountains, while atmospheric conditions remain seasonally hot summer in lowlands, valleys, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

An air mass is pushing from areas of northwestern Europe and the north Atlantic Ocean and arrives in the form of a humid air mass with moderate temperatures towards the region, resulting in a temperature drop below its seasonal rates by several degrees Celsius in an unusual manner, with the atmosphere becoming moderate in the mountains in general and slightly cold at night with the presence of low clouds, and it is expected that these weather conditions will continue for a long period unusually.

It is expected that temperatures will reach the mid-twenties Celsius in the mountains and the capital during the end of July and until the first half of August during some periods as a result of the source of the air mass pushing from the north Atlantic Ocean.

The atmosphere is beginning a process of thermal rebalancing resulting from the strong El Niño climate phenomenon which caused a significant increase in temperatures coinciding in a rare occurrence with great strength in the polar jet stream that isolated polar circulation in many periods from circulation in the mid-latitudes and tropical regions. WASM Regional Center expects a sharp decline in temperatures in the northern part of the atmosphere during the coming months in an unusual manner, especially in the mid-latitudes and subtropical regions, with expectations of above-average temperatures in general in the polar and sub-polar latitudes.

The world being affected by record temperatures does not mean the same applies to countries of the Arab world, as the nature of climate changes differs greatly in the Arab region compared to the European continent and North America, and misunderstanding climate changes in our regions will be considered a major challenge in facing them in the future.
