WASM – The impact of the atmospheric low pressure system will gradually recede during evening and night hours with weather remaining cold and cloudy, with limited and intermittent rain showers falling on some areas. This atmospheric low pressure system resulted in large quantities of rainfall exceeding 50mm in the highlands of Balqa and West Amman, significantly improving the performance of the rainy season which had been delayed this year.
Tomorrow, Friday, weather will be cold and cloudy with limited rain showers, continued high humidity, and fog formation in some areas.
Temperatures will rise on Saturday with decreasing cloud amounts, weather becoming partly cloudy with continued chances of limited rain showers. Starting from Sunday evening, a new atmospheric low pressure system will form north of Egypt, causing easterly winds to intensify, which will be humid and accompanied by quantities of low and medium clouds, with increased chances of thunderstorms especially in eastern, northern, and central regions.
Weather will stabilize starting Monday with temperatures rising slightly and cloud amounts appearing. This stability is expected to be temporary as more severe cold weather and rain are expected starting mid-November, with a significant drop in temperatures and return of rainfall.
These weather conditions are due to a different organization of the atmosphere where a strong high pressure system will be positioned over the European continent for long periods, coinciding with the direct surge of cold air masses from Siberian regions towards the eastern Mediterranean, as the WASM Regional Center has clarified through its long-range seasonal and monthly bulletins using an internally developed climate model which is considered the most accurate in the region.
The WASM Regional Center will continue to monitor upcoming weather situations and will issue high-precision weather alerts and forecasts.
