Jordan: Cold and stable weather at the end of the week, with rain returning mid to late next week

WASM - The weather will stabilize completely during the weekend following successive heavy rainfall waves that affected all regions of the kingdom coinciding with early winter conditions.

The atmosphere will remain cold, humid and stable during the weekend with the appearance of clouds at different altitudes, as a result of a high pressure system controlling all atmospheric layers.

Temperatures will range between 14-17 degrees Celsius in the capital and mountains with lows around 8 degrees Celsius only, with fog formation in eastern plains areas during dawn and early morning.

The kingdom is expected to be affected during the middle of next week by cold, humid, cloudy and occasionally rainy conditions as a result of western winds pushing from the Mediterranean Sea. The WASM Regional Center is monitoring a very cold air mass in the southeast of the European continent.

In scientific details, a massive high pressure system is expected to dominate from the Atlantic Ocean to the European continent, with an atmospheric phenomenon called "polar jet stream splitting" between the east and west of the European continent, which also causes disruption to numerical forecast results even in short periods. The results of the advanced climate model developed at WASM, which specializes in long-range forecasts, indicate cold and occasionally rainy conditions between December 5-10, noting that this model achieved highly accurate results in October and November exceeding 86%, which is the highest historically in the Arab region and surpassed the accuracy of all global climate models in the region.
