WASM- High temperatures will continue, especially in the south and east of the Kingdom, the Jordan Valley and Dead Sea areas during the coming days. Temperature will stabilize around 34-35°C in the capital Amman and humidity will decrease over the weekend, becoming hot and dry conditions. Weather will be mild in the high mountains at night while being hotter than usual in other areas.
Temperature in the high mountains will reach 31°C and will reach around 43°C in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea areas and Aqaba. Scattered clouds will appear tomorrow, Thursday.
It is expected that temperature will drop in the middle of next week temporarily, and WASM Regional Center is monitoring a significant rise in temperature between August 17-25, and we will issue all details continuously.
The reason for the continuation of hot weather and the successive heat waves is due to the significant warming of Mediterranean seawater, which has resulted in heat waves coinciding with high humidity, which increases the feeling of heat.
