Jordan | Continued Impact of the Low-Pressure System Tonight Through Wednesday Morning

TAG - Jordan will continue to be affected tonight and until tomorrow morning, Wednesday, by a low-pressure system accompanied by very cold winds positioned over the southeast of the Kingdom, accompanied by dense clouds, active winds, and precipitation mixed with snow showers on the peaks of the high southern mountains.

The effect of the low-pressure system is concentrated in the southern regions of the Kingdom, where heavy rainfall is occurring in those areas mixed with occasional snow showers, hail falls, and active winds. The weather condition extends toward central and northern Jordan in the form of scattered rain showers.

The weather will gradually stabilize tomorrow, Wednesday daytime, but it will remain cold. Wind speeds are expected to decrease and shift to northwesterly, especially as the low-pressure system moves toward northern Saudi Arabia. Renewed precipitation is expected in scattered areas on Friday, coinciding with the continuation of cold weather.

The TAG Regional Center is monitoring successive low-pressure systems accompanied by heavy precipitation in the first two weeks of March, coinciding with the continuation of severely cold weather.
