Jordan | Continued Moderate Summer Weather in the Mountains with Further Temperature Decline Mid-to-Late Week

WASM - The Kingdom and the Eastern Mediterranean region are being affected by a moderate summer air mass pushing from northern Europe, resulting in a drop in temperatures below seasonal averages by around 2-4 degrees Celsius, with the capital and mountains recording between mid and late 20s Celsius during the day and below 20 Celsius at night, accompanied by increased surface humidity, scattered clouds, and active northwest winds.

These weather conditions are expected to continue with a slight and imperceptible rise in temperature from Sunday through Wednesday, followed by a further drop in temperatures mid to late in the new week, with temperatures becoming several degrees below seasonal averages and conditions may become "nearly autumn-like in the high mountains of the Kingdom".

Hot conditions continue in desert and low-lying areas, the Jordan Valley, Aqaba, and the Dead Sea but less than the seasonal norm, with desert and low-lying regions recording between early and mid-thirties Celsius, while the Jordan Valley, Aqaba, and the Dead Sea range between 38 to 41 Celsius during the day.

A strong heat wave heading toward western and central Europe..
Western European regions are affected this week by a strong and severe heat wave, affecting Britain, France, Spain, Germany and surrounding areas with temperatures between mid-thirties to forty degree levels and rarely occurring, coinciding with high humidity which causes a dangerous indicator at the heat stress pressure level.

These strong heat waves will push toward central Europe during mid and late week, which in turn will cause more moderate air to flow toward the Eastern Mediterranean, Jordan, and northern Saudi Arabia.
