WASM - Spring weather conditions that are "cold and humid" are expected to affect the Kingdom, particularly in the mountainous regions and the capital. Maximum temperatures will be slightly below 20 degrees Celsius, and minimum temperatures will drop to 8-9 degrees Celsius only amid cloudy conditions in many periods and rain showers in parts of the northern and central regions of the Kingdom.
In detail, the weather on Sunday and Monday will be cold and spring-like, with temperatures below their seasonal averages by around 7 degrees Celsius, which will be around 8-9 degrees Celsius at night and in the morning in the capital and mountains, with active westerly winds and rain showers in parts of the northern and central regions of the Kingdom.
Temperatures will rise starting Tuesday and approach their warm spring seasonal averages, and temperatures are expected to increase further before the weather deteriorates during the weekend with temperature fluctuations again and increased chances of rain showers once more during the beginning of next week.
Weather fluctuations are expected to continue until late in the current rainy season, based on data from the climate model of WASM Regional Center which predicts these fluctuations will continue until the first half of June.
WASM Regional Center recommends wearing light winter or spring clothing during the coming days, especially for children and the elderly, due to rapid temperature fluctuations and generally cold weather conditions.
