WASM – The WASM Regional Center issues a detailed weather bulletin for Jordan for the 2020-2021 season for the periods of October and November and the periods of December and January based on the climate model developed within the WASM Regional Center and specialized in long and medium-range forecasts.
Fall Season (October and November)..
A dry and warm period warmer than usual with expected eastern winds during most days of November and little rain expected during this period over some areas, and starting from the second half of November, rainy conditions and cooler weather are expected to increase.
It is expected that during this period an ineffective extension of the Red Sea low pressure system will dominate, bringing dry and warm conditions with little rain expected concentrated in the middle and end of October, and starting from November the influence of the Siberian high pressure system increases with dry eastern winds, and weather systems begin to change during the second half of November as cold air masses approach the region.
Winter Season (December and January)..
A cold and humid period with increased rainy conditions to become stronger than usual during the second half of December and during January, a continuation of cold and humid weather conditions is expected over Jordan with the possibility of extremely cold conditions at times.
It is expected that a strong high pressure system will dominate northern and eastern Europe as well as North Africa with the presence of low pressure systems southwest and west of the European continent at times, this causes the activity of the Mediterranean front over the eastern Mediterranean region and the continuation of low pressure systems in the area.
