WASM- The WASM Regional Center issues details of the expected snowstorm over Jordan that begins hours on the night of Tuesday/Wednesday and continues intermittently until Friday, which is expected to bring heavy and accumulated snowfall over mountain heights exceeding 800 meters, descending on Wednesday evening to 600 meters, accumulating significantly on high mountains exceeding 850-900 meters.

The snowstorm in stages and determining the level of snow precipitation and the level of snow accumulation..

- Tuesday afternoon and evening..
Dust-stirring winds activate causing dense dust in various regions with strong gusts exceeding 100 km/hour followed by heavy rainfall in various regions mixed with snow and hail in high mountains as a result of the Kingdom being affected by a polar-origin cold front.

- Night of Tuesday/Wednesday..
Polar air deepens and snow falls on mountains exceeding 1000 meters gradually declining to 800 meters with Wednesday dawn and morning with expected accumulations ranging from light to moderate especially on mountains exceeding 900 meters on Wednesday morning.

- Late morning and Wednesday afternoon..
Precipitation weakens and concentrates in northern and central Jordan with snow precipitation level temporarily rising to 900 meters limits due to the beginning of formation of a more severe cold front advancing from northern Siberia deepening in the upper atmospheric layers and winds intensify significantly with wind gusts reaching 110 km/hour.

- Wednesday evening and night/Thursday..
Precipitation intensifies after Wednesday afternoon as a result of the expected crossing of the new severe cold front to become heavy with heavy accumulated snow falling on mountains exceeding 800 meters coinciding with strong winds, and snow accumulation level drops to 600-650 meters, as snow precipitation level without significant accumulations drops to around 500 meters in the form of snow showers, dense accumulations on mountains exceeding 850-900 meters across various regions, severe rainfall below these heights with danger of flash flood formation.

- Thursday morning..
Wind intensity weakens and the snowstorm gradually subsides, but accumulations are widespread in impact on wide mountainous areas of the Kingdom, with dense accumulations on high mountains exceeding 850-900 meters, and as snow falls at heights exceeding 800 meters.

- Thursday afternoon and evening..
Snow precipitation level rises to 900 meters and continues to accumulate slightly at 1000 meters, and mixed with rainfall below these heights.

WASM monitors the renewal of weather activity on the night of Thursday/Friday and intensification of snow precipitation especially on mountains exceeding 900-1000 meters above sea level and WASM will issue all details about the third front in subsequent reports, as the snowstorm is expected to continue until Friday.

WASM uses W.DMM technology which maintains the accuracy and stability of weather forecasts without any changes or confusion and as it maintains the issuance of clear, accurate and direct weather information, and WASM was able to predict the snow condition more than two weeks in advance using the climate model developed by WASM Regional Center.
