Jordan | Early Weather Alert.. Successive Low Pressure Systems and Heavy Rainfall with Cold Conditions Beginning Mid-Month


WASM- The Kingdom will be affected by successive and stronger atmospheric depressions starting from mid-month through the end of the current month, accompanied by heavy precipitation and cold weather conditions over wide areas of the Kingdom. These strong expected weather conditions are also expected to extend to regional countries.

A strong atmospheric high pressure is expected to affect the European continent and extend from areas of North Africa, which will cause cold air masses to be pushed toward the eastern Mediterranean, Jordan, and surrounding areas.

Polar waves expected..
The chances of polar waves surging toward the Kingdom and the eastern Mediterranean increase during the period between 17-20 of the month, as issued in our monthly bulletin and resulting from the data of our advanced climate model at WASM. The chances of polar waves increase at the end of the month and the last days of December and the beginning of January.

Heavy precipitation..
Heavy precipitation is possible in many areas of the Kingdom during the second half of December. The country was affected by successive rainy weather conditions during the first 10 days of December, concentrated in the north and central regions of the Kingdom.
