WASM - The Kingdom will be affected by unstable weather conditions beginning next Sunday and continuing for several days, covering various regions of the Kingdom, resulting in the formation of thunderstorms and rainfall; however, the atmosphere will be generally spring-like and warm, becoming slightly cold during the night and morning.
In detail, temperatures will rise on Friday and record around 27 degrees Celsius, slightly higher than average for this time of year, with the appearance of medium and high clouds and active easterly winds stirring dust and sand.
Thunderstorms will form on Saturday in scattered and limited areas of the Kingdom, particularly in the eastern, northern, and central regions of the country, coinciding with active easterly winds and dust stirring, with spring-like warm weather conditions.
Unstable weather conditions will intensify starting Sunday and will increase in severity gradually and progressively throughout the coming week, with thunderstorms forming during the afternoon and evening periods, coinciding with spring-like warm weather and temperatures reaching around 27 degrees Celsius in the capital. Heavy rainfall is expected in the eastern, desert, and east of major cities areas.
These unstable weather conditions are expected to deepen further in the second half of the coming week to cover many regions. The WASM Regional Center will issue continuous updates and changes as these weather systems are characterized by strength and sudden changes at the same time, with an element of surprise, rapid weather fluctuations, and heavy rainfall in short time periods.
The unstable weather conditions are due to the convergence of warm and moist winds driven from the south with cold air in the middle layers of the atmosphere.
