WASM – The heat wave continues over the Kingdom during the weekend and temporarily recedes during Sunday and Monday, with weather expected to moderate, particularly during the night hours of Sunday/Monday.
Gradually during the middle of next week, the heat wave will intensify again, but this will coincide with a noticeable increase in humidity levels, which will increase the feeling of higher temperatures than those recorded.
The Kingdom is affected by a prolonged heat wave that began last Friday and gradually intensified to reach its peak from Wednesday through Saturday.
Temperatures are expected to reach around 37-38 degrees Celsius in the capital Amman during the weekend and around 45 degrees Celsius in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba regions, with an increase in medium-altitude clouds.
WASM recommends avoiding direct sunlight and increasing fluid intake, and also advises against leaving disinfectant materials inside vehicles, and running air conditioning units at temperatures not lower than 22-24 degrees Celsius.
