WASM - Jordan will be affected tonight and tomorrow Thursday, especially during the morning period, by heavy thunderstorms, strong winds, and a noticeable drop in temperatures. There are concerns about the formation of torrential floods and flash floods due to heavy rainfall. The rain will affect central and northern regions and to a lesser extent southern regions.
The Kingdom is being affected by a low-pressure system positioned near the coasts of northern Palestine, pushing cold and highly humid winds accompanied by dense cumulonimbus clouds and heavy rainfall. WASM has issued an orange alert level due to the severity of the expected weather conditions tonight and tomorrow Thursday.
The weather condition is expected to reach its peak during the dawn and morning hours of Thursday, then begin to weaken and recede during the evening hours and Thursday/Friday night.
Friday will be cold and partly cloudy with thundershowers in some areas. Cloud coverage will increase on Saturday daytime with scattered thundershowers occurring and being heavy in some regions.
WASM is monitoring rainy weather conditions expected during the beginning of December through at least mid-December.
