Jordan.. Hot and humid conditions with limited rain showers from Monday evening through Wednesday

WASM - Humidity levels will rise noticeably and clearly starting from Monday, especially during evening and night hours and in the morning, due to the influx of moist westerly winds from the Mediterranean Sea coinciding with the continued impact of a strong heat wave affecting the country.

The high humidity wave will cause a clear drop in temperature levels, but it causes an uncomfortable feeling of temperatures higher than those recorded. Humidity levels are expected to rise significantly, especially on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Coinciding with the rise in high humidity levels, clouds will increase at medium and high altitudes, and sometimes at low altitudes in some mountainous areas. Limited rainfall showers and wind activity are expected in some areas on Tuesday and Wednesday as the strong heat wave begins to recede.

The heat wave will begin to gradually recede starting from Wednesday until Thursday evening, to completely recede during the end of the week. Typically, strong heat waves require more than 48 hours to completely recede from the region.

Temperature reached 43 degrees Celsius in the city of Amman, making it the third highest temperature recorded in the history of modern climate records, coming after the heat wave in July 2000 and the heat wave in August 2010, which reached 43.4 and 43.2 degrees Celsius respectively.

The current heat wave is considered one of the strongest heat waves to hit the region and the Eastern Mediterranean region, which caused record temperatures in some Eastern Mediterranean cities such as Jerusalem, which approached 43 degrees Celsius last Friday and reached temperatures in the forties in many cities in Cyprus, Turkey, and Syria. However, it is not considered the strongest heat wave recorded in the region, but rather is considered "among" the strongest heat waves due to the existence of stronger heat waves with longer time periods.
