Jordan| Hot and humid summer weather during daytime and pleasant nights in the coming days with alert for morning fog

WASM- Seasonal summer temperatures are expected over the coming days, slightly higher in the eastern Badiya region and east of central areas, but with increased surface humidity throughout most periods.

Temperatures are expected to range from the early 30s Celsius to the mid-30s in the capital and mountainous areas, with hot and humid weather during daytime hours, but pleasant conditions during nighttime and early morning hours.

Thunderstorm cloud formation will renew in scattered areas of the Kingdom, especially the southwestern regions of the country, with thundershower rainfall occurring.

With elevated surface humidity levels, which is an unusual occurrence in Jordan, caution should be exercised against excessive sweating during the afternoon, direct sunlight exposure should be avoided, strenuous exertion should be minimized, and fluid intake should be increased.

Beware of dense morning fog..
Attention should be paid to the formation of dense fog in the morning, particularly in mountainous areas, as well as parts of the eastern plains, resulting from a sharp and unusual increase in surface humidity compared to this time of year.

Slight temperature rise at the end of the week..
Temperatures are expected to rise slightly and barely noticeably overall on Friday and Saturday, remaining at thirty-degree levels in most cities, and at the beginning of 40 Celsius in Aqaba, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley.

Despite the severity and intensity of the heat wave in many areas, particularly the eastern Badiya region and east of central areas, the heat waves of 2020, 2010, and 2015 remain among the strongest heat waves recorded in the Kingdom due to the persistence of these waves for extended periods with exhausting forty-degree temperatures, and levels of 50 Celsius in the Jordan Valley, Aqaba, and the Dead Sea. August is characterized by severe heat waves according to climate archives, but in recent summer seasons, heat waves have begun to coincide with unseasonal summer rainfall as a result of climate change.
