TAG - Hot weather conditions affecting the Kingdom will continue tomorrow, Friday, with temperatures in the capital and mountains remaining around 35-37 degrees Celsius, which is 3-4 degrees above their seasonal averages. Surface humidity levels are expected to rise, intensifying the feeling of hot weather in the afternoon and evening periods.
Northwest winds will be active on Friday and Saturday, stirring up dust and sand in desert areas, with thunderclouds appearing and rain showers falling in desert regions, particularly east of Wadi Rum, Ma'an, and the southeastern border areas and the Jafr region.
Temperatures will drop noticeably and gradually starting from Saturday, as the Kingdom begins to be affected by a mild air mass that will cause a significant and substantial decline in temperatures, dropping below their seasonal averages for several consecutive days. The atmosphere will become slightly cold during nighttime hours and early morning in mountainous areas.
TAG did not classify these hot weather conditions as a heat wave due to temperatures not reaching high numbers for an extended period. Additionally, this temperature rise is considered typical for this time of year, as the average maximum temperature in the capital reaches 34 degrees Celsius, which is 3-4 degrees above its seasonal average.
