WASM – Temperatures will rise noticeably tomorrow, Thursday, exceeding 34-35 degrees Celsius in Amman city and remaining lower in the mountains, with weather becoming hot in various regions and extremely hot in low-lying areas and the Jordan Valley.
Temperatures will drop on Friday, especially during nighttime hours, with weather becoming cold in the mountains due to a noticeable and significant decrease in temperatures accompanied by increased low clouds. Western winds will also intensify, stirring up dust and dirt in desert areas.
Weather conditions will be moderate and spring-like during the day on Saturday and cold during nighttime and morning hours, coinciding with active winds and cloud appearance. Temperatures will be around 25-26 degrees Celsius in Amman city during the day and around 15 degrees Celsius at night, approximately 3-4 degrees below their normal rates for this time of year.
Temperature decrease will intensify at the beginning and middle of next week as a cold air mass deepens toward the region, accompanied by the formation of a surface low-pressure system in the Eastern Mediterranean basin. Weather conditions will become generally cold, especially during evening, night, and morning hours, with temperatures approaching 10 degrees Celsius at night in the mountains, coinciding with the formation of dense low clouds.
WASM Regional Center is monitoring the coincidence of these conditions with weather instability in some areas and increased chances of thunderstorms in the middle of next week. WASM will issue more details progressively.
