WASM- The heat wave will completely recede tomorrow, Friday, and weather will become moderate in most areas, with a slight cooling trend in high mountains starting from Friday/Saturday night. Given the expected significant changes in weather conditions, WASM Regional Center provides you with several tips and guidance for the coming period.
Outdoor Trips
Due to the temperature drop, the atmosphere during the weekend will be suitable for outdoor trips, especially in high mountainous areas. However, you should continue to avoid direct sunlight during midday and afternoon hours, particularly in low-lying areas and the Jordan Valley, as temperatures will rise temporarily in the afternoon.
Wearing Light Jackets at Night
A continuous decline in temperatures is expected throughout the coming week, resulting in more moderate weather conditions. Temperatures will tend to be slightly cool during nighttime and early morning hours in high mountains starting from Friday/Saturday night. This requires wearing a light jacket, especially in exposed and high mountainous areas, with temperatures dropping to around 16-17 degrees Celsius and fog formation expected in high mountains.
Air Conditioning Units..
It is not recommended to operate air conditioning units during the coming nights starting from Friday/Saturday night in most areas, except for low-lying areas and the Jordan Valley. It is advised to open windows to ventilate homes well, especially at night, to remove hot air trapped inside homes given the slight cooling expected during nighttime.
Seasonal Diseases and General Health
Given the temperature fluctuations expected throughout the coming week compared to the previous two weeks, which will be more than 10-11 degrees Celsius higher, general health should be carefully monitored. Wear a light jacket at night in high mountains to avoid colds and seasonal diseases. It is recommended to eat healthy food and strengthen the immune system.
Weather Fluctuations
Weather fluctuations increase during transitional periods, especially autumn and spring. These fluctuations become more harmful to human health when they coincide with sharp temperature changes, as expected during the coming days compared to the impact of the heat wave during the previous period
