WASM- Unstable weather conditions will intensify starting from tonight and dawn hours, tomorrow Sunday, and continue until Monday evening, then gradually recede starting Tuesday with weather stabilizing on Wednesday.
In detail, unstable weather conditions will intensify starting from Saturday evening and the Saturday/Sunday night hours in some areas, with rainfall becoming clearly organized on Sunday across wide areas of the Kingdom with scattered and sometimes heavy thunderstorms, and dust-raising winds will be active in some areas during the presence of thunderclouds.
Gradually, starting from Sunday evening and Sunday/Monday night, the weather condition will reach its peak intensity over different areas, particularly the southern regions of Jordan and some eastern areas, especially around Al-Jafr, Al-Ruwayshid, and Azraq, and some northern areas of the Kingdom and around the Dead Sea Basin, where heavy thunderstorms will fall coinciding with the formation of thunderstorms causing the formation of flash floods and transported floods in some areas.
The weather condition will continue until Monday evening, especially over the north, center, and east of the Kingdom including the capital Amman, in the form of thunderstorms and sometimes heavy thunderstorm rainfall.
WASM issues a red alert level for weather conditions, which is the highest alert level, particularly over the southern and eastern regions of the Kingdom and some northern areas of the country as shown in the illustrative map, during Sunday and Monday, and an orange alert level is issued over wide areas due to sometimes heavy rainfall, weather fluctuations, and wind activity. These unstable weather conditions mean weather will fluctuate between sunny and heavily rainy periods within short timeframes. Therefore, we advise everyone to completely stay away from low-lying areas, valleys, and areas of water accumulation starting from tonight until Tuesday morning even if the weather is clear and stable, and to follow the warnings of the Jordanian Meteorology Department and Civil Defense instructions.
Weather will stabilize gradually starting from Wednesday with temperatures dropping and light scattered clouds appearing, with temperatures rising later during the end of next week. The WASM Regional Center is monitoring another new weather condition later before mid-November.
