Jordan | Intensifying Heat Expected on Sunday and Monday

WASM - Temperatures will rise significantly and noticeably during Sunday and Monday as Jordan is affected by hot winds coming from western Saudi Arabia and northern Egypt as a result of the country being affected by a "Khamsin" low pressure system.

Tomorrow, Saturday's weather will be generally hot during midday and afternoon hours and moderate during the night and early morning period. The intensity of heat will increase on Sunday and Monday with temperatures in Amman reaching 35 degrees Celsius on Monday, accompanied by the appearance of high and medium clouds coinciding with active hot, dry southern winds that stir up dust and dirt in some areas, making Monday's weather Khamsin-like.

Temperatures will drop noticeably on Tuesday coinciding with active winds and the appearance of cloud amounts with limited rainfall showers in scattered areas.

Tuesday evening weather is expected to become moderate and clear and tend toward coolness in mountainous areas, with weather remaining moderate for several days.

WASM is monitoring atmospheric fluctuations in the period after mid-Ramadan coinciding with temperature drops and thunderstorm rainfall in many areas
