Jordan | Moderate weather on Sunday with gradual temperature rise starting Monday daytime

The Kingdom will be affected by a mild air mass for a short period, lasting until Monday morning. This is expected to coincide with slightly cold conditions in the mountainous areas during the night and early morning, with increased chances of limited thunderstorms and showers in northern areas on Sunday.

Gradual and slow temperature rise starting Monday afternoon..
Temperatures will rise gradually and slowly from Monday afternoon until Wednesday afternoon, with typical summer weather conditions, mild most of the time, especially in the mountains, and hot during midday and afternoon hours, particularly in low-lying areas and the Jordan Valley.

Hot weather on Thursday and Friday..
Temperatures will rise noticeably during Thursday and Friday, but for a short and temporary period. Temperatures in the capital and mountainous areas during the day will reach around 32-36 degrees Celsius, but the weather will remain moderate during the night and morning.

Jordan has been affected by hot spells over the past three weeks with temperatures rising several degrees above seasonal averages, concentrated in desert areas and the Jordan Valley. One of these spells developed into an acute heat wave before the holiday period, lasting around 80 hours, resulting in temperatures reaching 48 degrees Celsius in Aqaba and 38 degrees Celsius in the capital, Amman, and its surrounding highlands.

Strong and intense heat waves heading toward Europe..
A gradual shift and deflection of heat waves toward wide areas of Europe will begin from next week and intensify in early July, continuing for several weeks. These powerful heat waves will dominate the western and central Mediterranean regions and large areas of Europe, particularly the central parts including Germany and surrounding areas up to Scandinavian regions.

These heat waves will increase in intensity and extent from mid-July through the first half of August, extending to western European regions. Temperatures are expected to reach the forties Celsius, coinciding with high humidity.

What will intensify these heat waves is the presence of atmospheric lows toward the east of the Atlantic Ocean and far northwest Europe, which will increase the push of hot air from the African continent toward Europe.

These powerful heat waves toward Europe will result in a decrease in temperatures in the eastern Mediterranean region and Jordan below seasonal averages during some periods, which is the opposite of what occurred during the previous period.

Weather fluctuations occurring in various countries around the world are not only limited to heat waves or temperature increases, but also involve significant temperature variations and intensification of storms that strike various countries around the world, which also increase the occurrence of flash floods and floods, as well as rare summer cold waves in many parts of the world and even hurricanes.
