Jordan | Noticeable Drop in Temperatures Starting Tuesday with a Moderate Summer Wave

WASM- Temperatures will drop noticeably on Tuesday as the country is expected to be affected by a moderate summer wave lasting several days, which will coincide with the hottest days of the year compared to the usual seasonal conditions.

Temperatures are expected to drop to the twenties Celsius in the capital and mountains and around 15 degrees Celsius at night, coinciding with high humidity levels and the presence of low clouds with a widespread and beneficial dew phenomenon for crops.

Slightly above average temperatures on Sunday and typical summer conditions on Monday|
Temperatures will be slightly above average on Sunday but will drop slightly on Monday to register their usual seasonal levels. Temperatures during Sunday and Monday will be around 32-34 degrees Celsius in the capital and mountains during the day and 22 degrees Celsius at night, coinciding with active northwest winds that stir dust in some exposed areas in desert regions, with attention to forest fires due to the winds.

A moderate summer wave beginning Tuesday|
The moderate summer wave begins Tuesday and its effects increase on Wednesday and during the end of the week, continuing for several days until the beginning of the second week of August, with temperatures below seasonal averages by approximately 5 degrees Celsius.

Signs of a new temperature rise during the second week of August|
WASM Regional Center is monitoring signs of temperature increases during the second week of August for a short period, but this will coincide with a strong and "massive" heat wave in most parts of Europe, which is rare, reflecting that the temperature rise is temporary and short-lived.

It is worth noting that this time of year is the hottest in Jordan, with seasonal average temperatures in the capital and mountains reaching around 31 degrees Celsius during the day.
