Jordan | Noticeable temperature drop in coming days and retreat of hot Khamsin conditions

Temperature drops noticeably this evening on Sunday and conditions tend to be cold during night and morning hours in the mountains and capital, with temperatures expected to reach 12-14 degrees Celsius at night in the capital and mountains as a result of the country being affected by mild temperature winds advancing from central Europe.

Light suspended dust is expected to gradually recede from the atmosphere during Sunday evening and tomorrow during Monday daytime with clouds appearing at various altitudes. WASM regional center advises caution regarding these sharp thermal fluctuations, especially with the continued activity of Khamsin atmospheric lows.

A notable temperature rise is expected on Thursday next week followed by a clear decrease during the end of the week due to the continued activity of "Khamsin atmospheric lows," which have recorded record-breaking and significant activity this season compared to previous years.

WASM regional center is monitoring the intensification of "atmospheric and thermal fluctuations" again during the last week of the current month, resulting in significant and continuous thermal differences, with forecasts of a significant temperature drop later at the end of the month and in an unseasonable manner, leading to increased chances of unseasonable rainfall later at the end of the month and beginning of next month.

The cause of these continuous atmospheric fluctuations is due to the approach of a cold air mass from southern Europe and the eastern Mediterranean, which has caused increased activity of "Khamsin" atmospheric lows, which cause temperature variations and weather disturbances during certain periods.
