Jordan | Noticeable Temperature Drop Thursday Evening and Alert of Continued Weather Instability

WASM- The Kingdom is affected by hot and dry winds that stir up dust and sand in desert areas, and these conditions are expected to continue until Thursday afternoon, with temperatures dropping noticeably during Thursday/Friday night hours and a return to cold weather, especially during the night and morning in mountains and plains.

Hot, dry and cloudy conditions Wednesday through Thursday afternoon|
The Kingdom will continue to be affected by the hot and dry air mass on Wednesday amid the presence of moderate to high clouds, with southwesterly winds activating especially in desert areas stirring up dust and sand during daytime hours, with light suspended dust expected occasionally in other areas, and temperatures in the capital and mountains are expected to reach around 32 degrees Celsius during the day, which is higher than seasonal averages by about 5-7 degrees Celsius.

Moderate to cold spring weather at the end of the week|
Cooler than usual seasonal winds are expected to push toward the Kingdom during the weekend with continued cloud cover, with light and scattered rain showers expected in various areas, and temperatures will drop during weekend nights in the capital and mountains to 10 degrees Celsius to fall below seasonal averages.

Continued weather fluctuations next week and increased chances of rainfall|
Due to the expected push of a cold air mass toward the eastern Mediterranean during the end of this month and early May, coinciding with low atmospheric pressure over northeastern Egypt and southern Jordan, this leads to continued weather fluctuations and increased chances of rainfall.

Temperatures are expected from the end of this week through early May to be around to below seasonal averages in general (meaning cooler weather than usual seasonally) with increased chances of rainfall in more than one period.

The Kingdom is affected during Wednesday and Thursday by "dry" atmospheric depressions with thermal and quasi-khamsin characteristics, bringing hot and dry conditions to various areas and sometimes coinciding with wind activity and dust and sand stirring in desert areas.

Strong and sharp dust waves are not expected, but rather the presence of light suspended dust occasionally which concentrates in the middle and upper atmospheric layers with caution from winds stirring dust and sand in desert areas.
