WASM- The Kingdom is affected by cold and rainy weather depressions. The first weather depression begins on Friday, with scattered rainfall in various regions during the daytime, becoming heavy during the night in all regions, including the southern regions and Aqaba area, and these heavy rains continue until Saturday evening coinciding with cold weather and active winds.
A new weather depression forms on Sunday, with rainfall intensity decreasing in the morning of Sunday then intensifying in the afternoon, evening and night with heavy rain falling in all regions coinciding with sometimes strong winds and thunderstorms occurring. Hail and snow showers also fall on the peaks of the high southern mountains of the Kingdom, especially during the hours of Sunday/Monday night.
The weather remains very cold and rainy on Monday in various regions of the Kingdom, in the form of snow and hail showers on the peaks of southern Kingdom coinciding with strong winds.
It is expected that cold, humid and rainy weather at times will continue during the middle of next week in many regions of the Kingdom, with expectations of successive weather depressions and rainy conditions continuing until at least the third week of January.
The Kingdom has been affected since mid-November by successive weather depressions and continuous heavy rainy conditions, noting that the rainy weather condition expected to affect tomorrow Friday is part of a regional rainy weather condition affecting all areas of the Middle East which is expected to continue for many days.
