WASM- The WASM Regional Center issues a red alert level for a "strong" rainy condition from Wednesday through Friday accompanied by large amounts of rainfall and coinciding with high rainfall rates in most areas concentrated mainly in the central and southwestern parts of the Kingdom and the Dead Sea region as well as most eastern desert areas with cold weather and temperatures below seasonal averages.
The reason for the weather condition is due to a deepening atmospheric low that will be stationed for a long period southeast of Jordan and northern Saudi Arabia accompanied by high humidity and an unstable cold air mass.
The WASM Regional Center advises following the warnings issued by the Jordanian Meteorology Department and the guidance of the Civil Defense and General Security during the weather condition, and completely avoiding flood areas and water accumulations.
Tuesday.. Beginning of limited weather disturbances|
It is expected to concentrate in the eastern desert region and limited areas of other regions, where limited showers of rain fall in scattered areas amid cloudy weather which tends to be warm and is at the forefront of the rainy weather condition.
Wednesday.. Beginning of the rainy condition|
The heavy rainy condition begins on Wednesday afternoon from various areas in the form of thundery rain showers that are sometimes heavy, these rains gradually intensify during the evening and night and their impact expands in the western areas of the Kingdom and their strength concentrates in the southwestern part of the country including the Aqaba region.
Thursday and Friday.. The rainy condition becomes strong|
This weather condition is expected to intensify on Thursday and become strong coinciding with large amounts of rainfall that greatly increase the chances of floods in wide areas, concentrated mainly in the central part of the country and the Dead Sea region and the northeast of the Kingdom, and also continue at intervals in the southwestern part of the country and the Aqaba region.
Saturday.. Gradual decline of the rainy condition|
The rainy weather condition gradually subsides with scattered rainfall continuing in various areas, and cloudy and generally unstable weather continues during the beginning of the coming week and the chances remain favorable for the renewal of rainy clouds in different areas of the Kingdom.
The WASM Regional Center issued the monthly weather bulletin for the blessed month of Ramadan using advanced climate model data and the only one of its kind in the Arab region.
