Jordan.. Recession of the Low-Pressure System Tonight and Weather Stability Friday and Saturday

WASM -  Receding The impact of the atmospheric low-pressure system over Jordan will recede tonight, which resulted in heavy rainfall in various regions, especially the northern parts of the Kingdom, while its impact was moderate in the central regions, including the capital Amman.

The deep atmospheric low-pressure system was classified as a subtropical storm named Elaina, where wind speeds reached 70 km/hour with gusts exceeding 100 km/hour in the Eastern Mediterranean basin. Its strong impact was on Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, and even northern Jordan with heavy rainfall and active winds.

Weather will stabilize tomorrow Friday and Saturday, remaining partly cloudy with light rainfall in some areas with no significant impact. Fog formation is expected tonight in various regions, which will be dense and lead to a sharp decrease in horizontal visibility range.

WASM is monitoring a new wave of rainfall during the Christmas holiday period through the beginning of the new year, and these weather conditions will be followed in detail.
