Aqaba also recorded 41 degrees Celsius concurrent with high humidity. High mountainous areas in the highlands of Ajloun, Jerash, Amman, Al-Salt, and Al-Shobak recorded around 35-37 degrees Celsius, but the humidity created a higher perceived temperature.
This heat wave is classified as strong and is expected to continue until the end of the first week of September, with a slight decline in the evening of Sunday and Monday next, then intensifying on Tuesday and through the end of next week before gradually subsiding and temperatures declining.
