WASM - Temperatures rise on Thursday and Friday with summer weather returning, making conditions hot during the day and moderate during evening and night, with maximum temperatures around 34-35 degrees Celsius in the capital and mountains, slightly higher than their usual rates at this time of year.
Temperatures are expected to drop again noticeably and significantly during the coming week due to the Kingdom being affected by an air mass with moderate to slightly cold temperatures during the night and early morning in mountainous areas.
The beginning of the current summer was characterized by few hot days spaced far apart and the Kingdom not being affected by any heat wave, which is the first time since 2017 compared to this time of year, despite the rise in global temperatures.
Heat waves are concentrated in North Africa and the European continent away from the Eastern Mediterranean region, following the Kingdom experiencing a "strong and unusual" rainy season that brought massive amounts of rain and precipitation, especially in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom.
