Scattered rains and cold weather continue today Wednesday until tomorrow afternoon Thursday in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom, as the country is affected by a cold and humid air mass accompanying a low-pressure system centered around the Cyprus Basin.
In detail, weather conditions will begin to gradually stabilize tomorrow Thursday with cold and humid conditions remaining and dense fog forming over the eastern plains and desert areas, leading to a lack of horizontal visibility during the night of Thursday/Friday.
Weekend weather will be stable and moderately autumnal and cold during the night and morning, with clouds appearing at different altitudes.
The Kingdom will be affected by a short-term warm autumn wave starting Saturday and reaching its peak Monday, with temperatures rising during the day to around 23-24 degrees Celsius in the capital and mountains while conditions remain slightly cold during the night and morning.
Temperatures will begin to drop next Wednesday coinciding with scattered rain showers in parts of the northern and central Kingdom, and WASM Regional Center is monitoring consecutive low-pressure systems and heavy rainfall amounts during the end of this month and beginning from the 25th-26th of the month and in wide areas of the Kingdom, as an extension of the rainy autumn conditions with heavy precipitation since the beginning of the season.
Wide areas of northern Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, northern Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait were affected by heavy rains during recent weeks resulting in widespread floods, which caused a significant and noticeable increase in air humidity and increased vegetation cover.
Wide parts of the Middle East region are being affected by sharp climate changes that have resulted in a significant increase in rainfall rates and an increase in flood cases.
