Jordan | Significant drop in temperatures Wednesday with an autumn and slightly cold weekend accompanied by rain showers

WASM – Weather conditions will fluctuate noticeably during the weekend, starting from Wednesday, with temperatures dropping significantly and gradually, becoming slightly cool during the weekend, especially on Friday. Clouds will increase, winds will intensify, and rainfall showers are expected in parts of western Jordan, including the capital Amman, Karak, southern mountains, and northern regions.

Weather tomorrow, Tuesday, will remain generally moderate with rising temperatures during noon and afternoon periods, especially in low-lying areas, with the maximum temperature in the capital reaching 32 degrees Celsius.

Temperatures will gradually decrease on Wednesday and the atmosphere will be slightly cool during Wednesday/Thursday night, with further temperature drops during Thursday coinciding with active winds that will stir dust in desert areas.

Scattered rainfall showers are expected, particularly in the western regions of the Kingdom on Friday morning, covering many Jordanian cities, with light intensity in general and moderate in limited areas, beginning from late Thursday/Friday night and Friday morning hours, coinciding with fog formation in mountainous areas.

The maximum temperature in the capital on Friday will drop to only 24-25 degrees Celsius, while the minimum during night and morning hours will reach 12-14 degrees Celsius, creating an atmosphere close to semi-winter or autumn conditions, requiring light winter clothing again. These conditions are considered an indicator of the approaching rainy season, which is expected to begin early this year.

WASM advises caution regarding dust and active winds on Thursday and Friday in desert areas, fog formation in mountains during Thursday/Friday night and Friday morning, as well as the danger of slipping on roads with expected light rainfall in many cities, especially since these first rainfall showers are coming in many areas after a long and exhausting summer.
