WASM – Temperatures will remain slightly above normal over the coming days to sometimes typical summer levels, coinciding with active northwest winds that stir dust and dirt in exposed areas. Temperatures in the capital and mountains are expected to reach around 33-34°C during the day and 21°C at night.
Slight temperature decrease in coming days|
Temperatures will drop slightly due to active northwest winds that are clearly noticeable and may reach gusts of 50 km/hour, especially in exposed areas, which could lead to dust storms. Active winds are expected to increase the chances of forest fires in northern regions, so the WASM Regional Center recommends following Civil Defense and General Security guidelines.
No heat waves expected over the Kingdom|
Temperatures will remain around their seasonal summer averages or slightly higher than usual, with heat waves staying away from the Kingdom's atmosphere due to atmospheric circulation that pushes heat waves toward the European continent and the western Mediterranean.
Moderate summer wave next week|
A moderate summer wave is expected to begin affecting the Kingdom gradually from mid-next week and intensify toward the end of the month and during the beginning of August, with temperatures in the capital and mountains reaching the twenties in an unusual manner compared to this hot time of year.
Jordan | Slight temperature drop with active winds and temperatures slightly warmer than normal
