WASM- The hot wave's impact will gradually end today, Friday in most areas and temperatures will drop noticeably and clearly, and the weather will become cold during the night and early morning in the high mountainous areas of the Kingdom.
Active-speed northwestern winds will blow tomorrow, Saturday during the day and night period and temperatures will continue to drop to match their usual rates at this time of year and the maximum in the capital Amman will reach around 31 degrees Celsius, and will drop in the Jordan Valley, Aqaba, the Dead Sea and low-lying areas below 40 degrees Celsius.
Temperatures will continue to drop on Monday and Tuesday and will reach around 30 degrees Celsius in Amman city and will become slightly below their averages and as the weather remains slightly cold in the high mountains during the night and early morning.
Temperatures will rise slightly next Thursday and hot weather will return only during the day and for a short temporary period as a result of the approach of slightly cold winds pushing from the east of the European continent towards the Kingdom and the eastern Mediterranean, which are expected to cause a clear drop in temperatures to register levels of 20 degrees Celsius in wide areas of the Kingdom and below 35 degrees Celsius in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba.
Jordan was affected by strong successive heat waves this summer which were the worst in years, as August 2021 recorded the second hottest August in modern climate records.
