WASM - The weather is expected to be stable during the end of this week and the beginning of next week, with temperatures around 15 degrees Celsius in the capital and mountains with scattered clouds at times, and light rainfall is expected next Saturday in various regions of the Kingdom.
Temperatures will rise slightly at the beginning of next week, coinciding with active winds and increasing clouds, with generally cold conditions in the mountains, especially during the night and morning.
Gradually during the middle of next week (between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning) rain will return to the Kingdom and temperatures will drop noticeably, with rainy and cold conditions expected to continue intermittently for several days, which is expected to bring significant amounts in some areas.
The current season has been characterized by successive integrated rainy weather systems since the beginning of the rainy season, but with less intense cold compared to previous years.
The WASM Regional Center expects rainy and cold conditions to continue intermittently until the beginning of April, with the rainy season expected to extend until late spring.
Most northern regions have completed their full rainy season and exceeded it in some areas, while central regions have achieved 80-90% of their rainy season, which is a significant figure for this time of year and has not been repeated for many years. The Kingdom is experiencing climate changes that have caused a significant increase in rainfall rates since the 2014-2015 season, and an increasing recurrence of strong rainy seasons as a result of unusual atmospheric circulation patterns.
