WASM – Weather is gradually stabilizing during the coming hours, and dense fog is forming in wide areas of Jordan, particularly in the eastern desert regions and extending towards Queen Alia International Airport area. The alert level is decreasing from yellow to green.
Tomorrow, Sunday, the weather will be generally stable with scattered clouds appearing, and light limited rainfall is expected in some areas. Stable weather is expected to continue until Tuesday daytime.
Starting from the night hours of Tuesday/Wednesday, Jordan is affected by an extension of a weak air depression where scattered light rain showers fall in northern and central Jordan and continue until Wednesday daytime, coinciding with the continuation of cold weather.
WASM is monitoring successive rainy weather conditions on the region and Jordan starting from December 11-12 until at least the end of the month, resulting from expected high atmospheric pressure over the European continent, which works to push cold air masses towards the region.
