Jordan | Successive Weather Depressions to Continue for an "Extended" Period Until Mid-Ramadan

The Kingdom has begun to be affected by successive atmospheric depressions, which are expected to intensify towards the end of this week and again during the first week of the holy month, resulting from the continued surge of cold winds from the north of the European continent towards the Mediterranean region.

Rainy conditions and atmospheric depressions will continue during the coming period, with the weather stabilizing for short periods sometimes between successive atmospheric depressions.

Tuesday and Wednesday daytime|
The weather will stabilize temporarily and temperatures will rise slightly. In front of a new atmospheric depression positioned west of Cyprus Island, clouds will appear at various altitudes, and the atmosphere will remain cold during the night and morning.

Thursday through the beginning of next week|
The Kingdom will be affected by several rainy and cold atmospheric depressions, with these rains being heavy during the weekend holiday and through the beginning of next week.

Mid-March|
Weather volatility will intensify again in the Kingdom and the eastern Mediterranean region, with temperatures fluctuating between significant rise and noticeable drop and heavy rainfall again.

This series of successive atmospheric depressions with "prolonged impact" comes as a result of a strong high-pressure system positioning itself over the European continent for an extended period, which is expected to bring unusual early spring conditions to those areas, while the Mediterranean region continues to be affected by a series of atmospheric depressions concentrated over its eastern parts during the early days of the holy month.

Extended rainy season|
The current rainy season will continue for an extended period until the end of spring, and this weather pattern has been observed to repeat in recent years. The Kingdom has experienced a significant increase in rainfall rates over several years resulting from recent climate change.
