Jordan | Temperature rise on Friday and Saturday, with an unusual cold air mass beginning Sunday

WASM - The Kingdom is affected by new weather fluctuations resulting in daily temperature rises on Friday and Saturday and active winds that stir dust and dirt at times, then a significant drop on Sunday with increased chances of rain on Monday.

Saturday's weather will be hot and generally dry in most regions with temperatures around 34-35 degrees Celsius in the capital Amman, accompanied by active dry easterly winds that stir dust, especially during late morning and afternoon.

The Kingdom is affected starting from Sunday by an unusually cold air mass for this time of year, resulting in a significant drop in temperatures and the return of cold weather conditions clearly, especially at night and in the morning, with scattered rainfall expected in northern parts of the Kingdom and parts of central areas on Monday morning.

Temperatures in the mountains are expected to drop on Sunday and Monday during morning and night hours to around 8-9 degrees Celsius only and highs around 19-20 degrees Celsius, which is about 10 degrees below their normal rates at this time of year.

The eastern Mediterranean region is affected by weather disturbances and the continued activity of atmospheric low-pressure systems late in the season, which reflected a significant increase in rainfall rates in the southeastern Mediterranean, Jordan, and Palestine.

The WASM Regional Center recommends being alert to clear weather fluctuations from Saturday through Monday, which include active winds, dust stirring, hot weather followed by cold weather, and rainfall.
