Jordan: Temperatures Drop Below 40 Celsius Tomorrow Tuesday with Heat Wave Receding Over the Weekend

WASM - Temperatures are expected to drop below 40 degrees Celsius starting tomorrow, Tuesday, indicating the beginning of a gradual retreat of the heat wave from the Kingdom. Temperatures in Amman are expected to reach around 36-37 degrees Celsius due to northwest winds coming from east of the Mediterranean pushing the heat wave gradually eastward towards the Arabian Peninsula region.

A gradual temperature decline is expected to continue on Wednesday and Thursday, coinciding with active northwest winds that stir dust in desert areas. This will coincide with a significant increase in surface humidity levels and increasing clouds at various altitudes with limited rainfall showers.

The heat wave is expected to gradually retreat starting from the high mountainous areas, especially the southern mountains, gradually extending during Thursday evening to the rest of the regions.

Conditions will moderate during the weekend, especially during night hours and early morning, with temperatures remaining slightly above their normal levels during midday and afternoon periods.

The WASM Regional Center is monitoring the advancement of a moderately warm air mass towards Jordan during the coming week, which will result in a clear and noticeable drop in temperatures, making conditions autumn-like with the appearance of low clouds.

Expected temperatures in Amman during the next 3 days will be slightly above the mid-thirties and drop below 35 degrees Celsius on Friday and around 30 degrees Celsius in high mountains, with conditions expected to moderate during night hours and early morning.
