WASM – Temperatures will rise slightly over the coming days and through the beginning of next week, with generally moderate conditions remaining in the mountains and plains, tending to be warm during the day and remaining slightly cold during the night and early morning. Temperatures are expected to drop again in the middle of next week, with weak weather disturbances anticipated that will result in scattered rain in various regions of the kingdom.
Red Sea Thermal Low Pressure System Affects Kingdom's Weather|
The kingdom is affected by a thermal and dry extension of the Red Sea thermal low-pressure system. This weather system brings generally dry conditions and large temperature variations between daytime and nighttime hours, and is expected to continue through the beginning of next week.
Weak Weather Disturbances Mid-Month|
The kingdom is affected by weak weather disturbances in the middle of the month (middle of next week) that result in temperature drops and scattered rainfall in various regions, which will generally be non-impactful. WASM Regional Center forecasted through climate model results a delay in the main rainy systems until the end of this month, which will begin to show signs from the end of the third week of the month (around the 20th).

Main Rainy Systems Expected to Reach the Kingdom During the Final Third of the Month|
As a result of changes in atmospheric circulation and due to strong hurricanes striking the Atlantic Ocean region and changes in their paths, this is expected to cause significant activity in the polar jet stream over western Europe, which will cause a strong area of high atmospheric pressure to build over most of Europe after mid-month, leading to an influx of cold air masses toward the Mediterranean region, especially the eastern Mediterranean.
These main rainy systems are expected to begin in the early part of the final third of the month (around the 20th), intensify significantly, and become more powerful in the last days of October with expectations of a sharp drop in temperatures and unseasonably cold conditions compared to that time of year.
