Temperatures will decline gradually at the beginning of next week due to the approach of atmospheric disturbances from the eastern Mediterranean region again, which are expected to approach the Kingdom during the middle of next week.

Temperature fluctuations return and a new extension of the early Red Sea low with the approach of a colder air mass from the eastern Mediterranean, causing new early atmospheric disturbances in the Kingdom which are part of successive atmospheric disturbances affecting the Kingdom with increasing intensity during the first week of October.

A "sharp weakening" has been detected in the jet stream over the eastern Mediterranean region since last spring due to unusual atmospheric circulation, which causes colder air masses from northern Europe to surge toward the Kingdom and the eastern Mediterranean basin causing early atmospheric disturbances or unseasonal summer rainfall as occurred during the last summer which was characterized by its short duration compared to previous years.

The Kingdom is expected to experience a rainy autumn with heavy precipitation and temperatures around normal rates or slightly below, with weather becoming colder during November and December more than usual with forecasts of large amounts of rainfall during that period based on data from the climate model of the WASM Regional Center.
