WASM - The impact of the rainy and cold atmospheric low pressure system will recede tomorrow, Sunday, which brought large amounts of rain to many areas ranging between 30-40 mm in the north and center (which is equivalent to the rainfall rate for the entire month of November), and the rainy season exceeded more than five times in parts of northern and central regions of the kingdom, with cumulative amounts in Khilda west of the capital Amman reaching 130 mm since the beginning of the rainy season.
In detail, the weather will be cold on Sunday and Monday with mostly cloudy conditions and active cold winds, and an atmospheric low pressure system approaches on Tuesday via northern Egypt, causing an increase in thunderstorm clouds starting from the south of the kingdom.
The kingdom will be affected on Tuesday by a rainy thunderstorm condition resulting from an atmospheric low pressure system positioned north of Egypt, causing heavy thunderstorm rainfall over a wide range of southern and eastern parts of the kingdom and the Aqaba region, extending during the evening and night towards the center and north of the country with varying intensity.
The weather will remain cold and partly cloudy on Wednesday with scattered rain showers falling in limited areas of central and eastern parts of the kingdom.
The weather will remain cold during the end of the week and partly cloudy, with expectations of multiple and very cold weather conditions during the first and second weeks of December.
As a result of successive heavy rainy weather conditions affecting the kingdom, WASM advises monitoring weather bulletins and warnings from the Jordan Meteorological Department and staying away from low-lying areas, valleys, and places where flash floods and transported floods accumulate.
