WASM – Temperatures will rise on Tuesday to exceed their seasonal averages slightly by around 2 degrees Celsius, followed by a slight decrease in heat during the rest of the week to return to summer seasonal averages. The weather will be moderate most of the time, especially in mountains and plains, and hot during midday and afternoon periods, particularly in low-lying areas and the Jordan Valley.
Continued moderate weather until Monday morning|
Temperatures will remain more moderate on Sunday and Monday with temperatures below seasonal averages and tending toward cold in mountains and plains during morning and night hours.
Temperature rise on Tuesday then decrease to seasonal averages for the rest of the week|
Temperatures will rise on Tuesday to become slightly above their seasonal averages by around 2 degrees Celsius, reaching approximately 33°C during the day and 22°C at night in the capital and mountains with active northwest winds.
Typical summer conditions for the rest of the week|
Temperatures will decrease slightly starting from Wednesday until the end of the week to become typical summer conditions, recording around 32-31°C during the day and 21°C at night in the capital and mountains, but this will coincide with active northwest winds with strong gusts at times, especially during evening and night periods. Attention should be paid to dust raised in desert areas during daytime hours.
Monitoring a new moderate summer wave|
With the complete absence of heat waves this summer, it is expected that temperatures will decrease again towards the end of the current month to the twenties in the capital and mountains during the day and will continue for several days. The absence of heat waves this summer is due to the concentration of hot waves far from the Kingdom's atmosphere and toward the European continent, which are expected to continue in different areas of Europe and the western Mediterranean during the coming weeks.
Moderate to typical summer days for most of August|
Based on preliminary results obtained by WASM Regional Center from our climate model operated on 17-7-2025, August is expected to remain moderate or typical summer with temperatures around their seasonal averages or slightly below.
WASM Regional Center warns against rumors circulated about expectations of strong, severe, or intense heat waves spreading continuously through social media. It should be noted that the seasonal temperature rate at this time is the highest during the year, and feeling hot weather during the day is a natural matter and does not mean the country is affected by heat waves. Heat waves are characterized by extremely hot weather in general and hot nights in most areas, including mountains, with temperatures exceeding 37-38°C during the day in the capital for several days.
