WASM – Jordan will be affected by unstable weather conditions starting Saturday/Sunday night, resulting in increased wind speeds and the development of medium-altitude thunderstorm cumulus clouds, dust raised, and scattered rain showers in some areas with limited impact.
The weather condition will continue tomorrow, Sunday, especially during daytime hours, resulting in strong wind gusts at times and heavy dust raised, particularly in desert areas, with thunderstorm showers falling with limited impact.
Weather will stabilize on Monday with the continuation of dry easterly wind activity, which will be hot during the day and tend to be cold at night. Easterly wind speeds will decrease starting Tuesday and weather will improve with increased humidity levels.
WASM Regional Center is monitoring new weather disturbances during the beginning of November as a result of the approach of more cold air masses to the eastern Mediterranean basin, particularly during the period of November 5-7.
The reason for tomorrow's weather condition is due to the effect of a cold air mass present in the middle and upper layers of the atmosphere and weakly in the lower layers, coinciding with the surge of dry easterly winds, resulting in the formation of medium-altitude thunderstorm cumulus clouds, wind activity, dust raised. Cloud bases are expected to reach 3,500 meters above sea level, which causes weak precipitation, wind activity, dust raised, and a decrease in horizontal visibility range.
